Matt joined The New Hope Eagle Fire Company when he moved to this area in 1999. He is originally from The United Kingdom. Matt is currently serving as Assistant Chief and has served as Battalion Chief and Lieutenant 64. He is nationally certified in Firefighter I & II, Hazmat Operations, is a Swift Water Rescue Technician, Vehicle Rescue Technician and is certified as a Sartech III with The National Association of Search & Rescue.

Matt received The Burpee Award for 2006 and the "Firefighter of The Year" award in 2003.
