Cory joined The New Hope Eagle Fire Company in 2004. He is certified in Firefighter I, Hazmat Operations, Swiftwater Awareness, First Aid, CPR and AED.

Cory also serves the community in the criminal justice system. He received the "Jr. Firefighter of the Year" award for 2004, "Rookie of the Year" award for 2005 and "Chief's Award" for 2006.
