Fire Company Report

Jan. 6, 08, 8:33 A.M., Alarm
System, Rt 263, east of Sugan road, Solebury Township, Home was
checked but nothing was found to cause the alarm, Engine 46
responded and 12 personnel were on duty for 45 minutes.
Monday, Jan. 7, 08,
11:01 A.M., Reported Gas leak at the New Hope/Solebury High School,
West Bridge Street, New Hope Boro, in the construction area,
contractors digging in the area struck the gas line. Engine 46 and
Tower 46 along with the New Hope/Lambertville Rescue Squad
responded. Student were moved to a safe part of the building till
the gas line was turned off. The
Fire Company personnel keep a check of the building with gas meters
to make sure everyone was safe. 18 personnel were on duty for 2
hours.
Monday, Jan. 7, 08, 4:47 P.M., Reported large amount of smoke on
Chapel Road, Solebury Township, smoke found to becoming from a
controlled burning, Deputy Chief 46 recalled Engine 46, 12
personnel were on duty for 20 minutes.
Tuesday, Jan. 8, 08, 5:20 P.M. Reported fire on Railroad Ave, New
Hope Boro, Investigation found a small trash fire, Tac 46 responded
and controlled the fire, 12 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes.
Tuesday, Jan. 8, 08, 8:16 P.M., Reported fumes in a dwelling on
Waterford Court, Solebury Township, Fumes found to be coming from a
heater, Engine 46 and Tanker 46 responded, 20 personnel were on duty
for 1 hour.
Monday, Jan. 14, 08, 9:53
A.M., Reported Alarm System, 350 S. Main Street, New Hope
Boro, When the first Chief arrived on location he found
medium/heavy smoke in one of the condo units. The fire call
was upgraded, which brought equipment from the following
Fire Departments to the scene; Upper Makefield, Midway, City
of Lambertville, Stockton, Hartsville, Lingohocken and
covering the New Hope Station in case of another call were a
ladder from Doylestown and a Engine from Point Pleasant Fire
Company's.
Fire Crews searched the building on both
the first and second floors and determined the smoke was
coming from a fireplace in one of the condo's on the second
floor. This call had approx 50 personnel on the scene for
over 1 hour.
Monday, Jan. 14, 08, 5:01 P.M., Reported
wires in a building on Rt 32 at the Rt 202 Spur
intersection, Solebury Township, Fire was found to be in
electrical transformer inside the building. Power was turned
off to the transformer. Engine 46, Tower 46 and Tanker 46
responded and 22 personnel were on duty for 45 minutes.
Wednesday, Jan. 16, 08, 11:16 A.M.,
Reported Alarm System and smoke in the dwelling from a fire
place, on Paxson Road, Solebury township, Engine 46, Engine
64, and Tanker 46 responded and 11 personnel were on duty
for 1 hour.
Thursday, Jan. 17, 08, 10:09 A.M.,
Reported gas leak on Bridge Street between Sugan Road and
the boro line, New hope Boro, gas was leaking from a gas
tank. The gas was secured, by personnel on location. Engine
46 and 9 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes.
Friday, Jan. 18, 08, 7:31 A.M., Reported
house fire on Rt 32 near Rabbit Run Bridge, Solebury
Township, Engine 46 responded along with the Chief and
Deputy Chief, and it was determined it was smoke coming from
a Chimney and the sun light. 17 personnel were on duty for
45 minutes.
Friday, Jan. 18, 08, 1:05 P.M., Reported
truck accident on Phillips Mill Road, west of Rt 32,
Solebury Township, a stone truck went off the road and
flipped onto it's side, the driver was out of the truck when
fire personnel arrived. Personnel set up a landing zone for
the medical helicopter who transported the driver to the
hospital. Fire personnel also controlled the oil and diesel
fuel from running down the ditch till a spill control
company could arrive and start a clean up. Personnel also
stood by till the truck was put back on it wheels in case of
fire. Engine 46 and 15 personnel were on duty for 3.5
hours.
Sunday, Jan. 20, 08, 9:46 A.M., Alarm
System, Leeds Court, Solebury Township, Dwelling check by
the first Chief on location and found it to be a bad smoke
detector, Engine 46 was recalled, 11 personnel were on duty
for 30 minutes.
Tuesday, Jan. 22, 08, Alarm System, Rt 32 south of Aquetong
Road, Solebury Township, Engine 46 was recalled by the
Deputy Chief, while he was on location doing an
investigation. 8 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes.
Thursday, Jan. 24, 08, 5:09 A.M., Alarm
System, S. Main Street, New hope Boro, Engine 46 was
recalled by the Chief on location. Alarm caused by a smoke
detector but nothing was found, 10 personnel were on duty
for 30 minutes.
Thursday, Jan. 24, 08, 8:22 A.M.,
Investigation in the area of Rt 202 and Rt 32, Solebury
Township, Engine 46 was recalled by Chief on location, 9
personnel were on duty for 30 minutes.
Thursday, Jan. 24, 08, 8:39 A.M., Alarm
System, Logan Square Shopping center, alarm set of by
accident, Engine 46 was recalled by Deputy Chief, 9
personnel were duty for 30 minutes.
Thursday, Jan. 24, 08,
5:58 P.M., Reported chimney fire, Greenbrook Court, Solebury
Township, Engine 46 and Tower 46 responded, 12 personnel
were on duty for 45 minutes.
Friday, Jan. 25, 08, 1:15 A.M., Alarm
System, Bridge Street, New Hope Boro, Tac 46 responded and
checked the building, Engine 46 stood by at the station, 7
personnel were on duty for 30 minutes.
Saturday, Jan. 26, 08, Tac 46 and Engine
46 participated in the winter festival parade and the fire
Police assisted New Hope Boro Police Dept. control traffic
during the parade.
Tuesday, Jan. 29, 08, 1:08 P.M., Alarm
System, W. Bridge Street, New Hope Boro, Deputy Chief and
Engine 46 responded and checked the building and found
nothing. The alarm was reset and turned over to the property
owner. 12 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes.
